Privacy Statement
We recognise that personal privacy is an important issue and therefore take your personal data seriously. In regards to the GDPR act, any personal or medical information gathered through the website or paperwork signed at the studio will only be used for insurance and medical purposes. We hereby declare that we do not sell, licence or trade your personal information to third parties. We also declare that we do not distribute your personal information to marketing companies or other such organisations. We may ask for your name, address, date of birth, email address, medical history and doctor details. We need this information for booking purposes and to make sure you are eligible for the treatment. It is essential for us to ask for this information before carrying out the treatment as some medical conditions, medications or allergies may complicate the treatment. Failure to gather this information may be detrimental to your health and safety or impact your final results.
Booking Fees
Your booking fee is non-refundable but will be deducted from the balance owed on the day. We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for ANY rescheduling. Any cancellations made within 48 hours of your appointment will be charged 50% of the value of the treatment. No-Shows will be charged 100% of the value of the treatment.
Rescheduling of your initial appointment may be done once only. Any additional rescheduling will be subject to a fee. ANY rescheduling of your complimentary touch up appointment will incur a fee, within any timeframe.
Correction Work
If booking a new procedure, you must not have had any previous permanent makeup/tattooing in the same area. For example, if booking an eyebrow treatment, you must not have had microblading/permanent makeup brows in the past by another artist. If booking a tattoo, you must not have had a tattoo in the same area as we do not offer corrections. If you do have previous work in the area, please do not book via the booking system and make sure to contact Alicia Dowling Studio directly to discuss. If you book without discussing this with Alicia Dowling Studio and it turns out that we cannot work on you, your booking fee will be lost.
Patch Tests
For some treatments, a patch test may be required at least 48 hours before your treatment. Providing no adverse reactions take place, we will be happy to proceed with your treatment. Failure to complete a patch test before your appointment could result in your appointment being cancelled and the loss of your booking fee. I understand that a patch test for pigment does not guarantee that I will not have an allergic response as well as anaesthetics. I am aware that an allergic response is rare and accept full responsibility if an allergic response occurs. A reaction can happen with or without a patch test on a very rare occurrence.
Cancellation Policy

Arrivals and Lateness
You must arrive 5 minutes earlier than your confirmed appointment time. Appointments are booked for specific time slots, if you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and you will still be charged. In respect of other clients, you are expected to arrive on time. Please arrive on time to avoid the loss of your booking fee and the cancellation of your appointment.
The Right to Refuse Treatments
Please note we reserve the right to refuse treatments. Disrespect and rudeness will not be tolerated. Alicia Dowling Studio reserves the right to amend Terms and Conditions as and when it is considered necessary to do so.
Children & Guests
We kindly ask you to turn up to your appointment alone. Unfortunately, children and guests are a distraction to the artist, therefore we are not able to accommodate any children or guests on the premises.
Environment
We kindly ask you to not eat, drink or smoke within the premises. We also ask you to not take phone calls within the treatment room as this may cause a distraction to the artist. Depending on your chosen treatment, your treatment can take several hours, therefore, please plan accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.
Contraindications
It is your responsibility to disclose any medication you are taking prior to the treatment. You are also required to disclose any allergies, medical conditions or skin conditions you have prior to the treatment. Failure to disclose this information may result in the cancellation of your appointment, may impact your healed results or be detrimental to your health and safety. We cannot be held responsible if you do not disclose this information. It is also your responsibility to inform us of any changes in your medical history at any subsequent appointments.
Refunds
All booking fees are non-refundable. Once the treatment has been carried out, there will be no refunds under any circumstances.
Payments
All payments are to be made in full before leaving the premises. Cash, bank transfer and card payments are accepted.
GIFT VOUCHERS
- Validity Period: Gift voucher expires 12 months after the date of purchase.
- Redemption: You can redeem the gift voucher for any product or service available online or in person.
- Non-Refundable: Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be returned or redeemed for cash or credit.
- Non-Transferable: Transfer or resale of this certificate is strictly prohibited.
- Lost or Stolen Vouchers: Alicia Dowling Studio are not responsible for lost or stolen vouchers.
- Remaining Balance: Should the total cost of your purchase exceed the gift certificate’s value, you will be required to cover the difference with an alternative payment method.
- Exclusions: Cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers or discounts.
- Cancellation: Once issued, the voucher cannot be cancelled.
- Modification of Terms: We reserve the right to modify these terms.
- Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

- Expiration Date: The voucher will expire after 12 months.
- Not redeemable for cash: Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of credit.
Complaints & Feedback
Should you wish to make a complaint or provide feedback, please do so in writing within 7 days of your treatment via info@aliciadowlingstudio.com. Complaints will be responded to within 30 days. Please do not write any complaints, negative or defamatory reviews online, including via social media accounts and forums. We strive to provide high quality services and will treat you with courtesy and respect. We care for our clients and want the best for them, therefore, any feedback received will be taken very seriously and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
